Remember Premium Booster -The Best- (PRB-01)? It whetted our appetites with a single brand-new card: the Red Sanji Leader. The rest were alternate arts and Leader-based DON!! cards. PRB-01 was revolutionary as the first One Piece TCG reprints set, making older cards more accessible. But PRB-02 kicks things up a notch! While it continues the reprint trend, it unleashes a staggering 18 brand-new cards into the mix! Plus, the alternate art cards are so numerous, it's hard to know where to begin! Think of it! Fresh Faces: New Straw Hat Cards and More!
Let's talk specifics! The three original Straw Hats are getting brand new alternate-art cards. And the best part? They are all playable! Not only do you get amazing artwork, but you're getting cards that will immediately slot into your decks. But the excitement doesn't stop there. Fan-favorite characters are also getting the alternate art treatment. For example, there are also new cards for Green Jewelry Bonney and Red Shanks, both incredibly strong Blockers with game-changing effects. The new three-cost Jewelry Bonney is perfect for the OP-07 Bonney deck, ensuring you have an active DON!! on your opponent's turn. And Lucky Roux is awesome, giving you draw power while providing a Blocker on the field. It's the perfect blend of utility and disruption. The artwork on both cards also features both characters doing their favorite thing: eating! A true testament to their personalities.
Hunting for the Big Hits: Manga Rare Sanji and SP Cards!
No One Piece Card Game set is complete without its chase cards, and PRB-02 is no exception! The Secret Rare Sanji from Wings of the Captain is getting a reprint in this set, and our favorite chef is finally getting the Manga Rare treatment. This card is highly sought after due to its versatility in the Blue/Purple Luffy deck. It's amazing to see Sanji join the ranks of the Straw Hats with his very own Manga Rare. With Sanji, we're exactly halfway through the crew (not counting Sogeking ). I can't wait to see who gets the next one! In addition to the sanji manga rare, the Monkey.D.Luffy from EB-02 receives the SP treatment, a welcome addition considering the card's rising price. The biggest thing is the alternate art events that are all being reprinted from OP-09! The search cards for three of the Four Emperors are all being reprinted with alternate arts, along with Gum-Gum Giant reprint, one of the best counter events ever printed!
Gold DON!! and One Piece God Packs are Back!
Beyond the reprints, PRB-01 introduced something truly special: the fancy new DON!! cards! PRB-02 continues this trend with 30 new artworks, each available in three rarities: common, textured holofoil, and the ultra-rare gold DON cards. These gold don cards showcase artwork themed around Leaders from OP06 through OP11. The question is: which will be the top chase? In PRB-01, it was the Gold Zoro DON!! card. For PRB-02, early signs point to the Shanks DON card or Chopper DON card. Both look incredible, but one piece card prices may be affected by the ratios for our packs compared to the Japanese release. And let's not forget the return of One Piece God Packs! In PRB-01, a God Pack contained only Manga Rares. In PRB-02, a God Pack is filled with Gold DON!! While not as flashy as a Manga Rare pack, pulling a full DON!! deck worth of Gold DON!! is still a massive win. Finding them is extremely rare.
